At Super Siders, we preach the saying, "Live every day with purpose on purpose." We love what we do. In an industry with more complaints than any other industry, we find purpose in what we do every day. Each Family we meet has less than a 30% chance of being satisfied with their home improvement project. We approach every project with a consultative approach to ensure each Family we meet with doesn't become a statistic.
We have Four Core Values that we follow day in and day out. Following these, every day ensures the company's longevity and the client's satisfaction.
This allows Super Siders to only work with people and projects that are a good fit for each party involved.
This keeps Super Siders at the forefront of the contracting industry. It also allows Super Siders to provide homeowners with the best products, warranties, and the best installation methods.
This enhances our preparation for every single situation. Allowing for the best service before, during and after the home improvement project. "We fail to our lowest level of preparation."
This builds trust between each member at Super Siders, allowing each member able to put their focus on the client. Being your word with the client builds trust and has expectations set and met.

The purpose of providing this information is to educate people on a topic is exposed to very few people. The fact is, everyone involved with the roof project (the manufacturer, the contractor, and the homeowner) all have a responsibility on the environment impact. We should be using products that last longer, and have less of an impact of its manufacturing and disposal. If those products aren't in the card for you, then you should make sure you choose a contractor that is going to make attempts of lengthen the longevity of the project you choose.
At Super Siders, we understand not every homeowner is going to choose PermaLock, and in fact will choose an asphalt roofing product instead. After reading all this information, it might seem like we are anti-asphalt roofing. That is not the case, a majority of our roofing projects are in fact asphalt roofing. If a homeowner is going to choose asphalt shingles, we know we will do it right. We are even happy to explain what installation method should be used to lengthen the longevity of an asphalt shingle. If a homeowner is going to use asphalt shingles, all we ask is to make sure your aren't choosing a contractor that is willing to cut the corners to keep their cost down.
From the beginning, PermaLock has been a green roof leader. PermaLock's aluminum is made of 95% recycled or recyclable material which allows for less waste in the landfills. And as an Energy Star Partner, PermaLock's shingles also reflect heat, reducing your energy bills. The aluminum shingles are lightweight, which limits the energy (gas) involved in the transportation of the materials. PermaLock aluminum shingles were engineered to be installed over existing asphalt and cedar shingles, eliminating the messy and costly tear off, and saving one more load of shingles being brought to the landfills.
We challenge you to compare the PermaLock warranty to the warranty of any roofing product you are considering for use on your home., non-transferable warranties are common in the roofing industry, because manufacturers know the value of their warranty, and consequently, their potential liability dramatically decreases over time. The Aluminum Shingle company has designed and manufactured the PermaLock shingle to last a lifetime, and their warranty conveys to you the confidence they have in their product. PermaLock aluminum shingles include a unique lifetime, transferable, non-prorated warranty. It's a superior warranty for a superior shingle. When you choose to have a PermaLock aluminum shingle roof installed on your home, you end your roofing worries once and for all.
PermaLock shingles won’t rust, rot, or deteriorate and will never lose strength with age. Their unique, patented products make them the ideal material to produce high-quality, permanent roofing. Asphalt roofing in the state of Minnesota has a life expectancy of around 8-12 years. This is due to the amount of hail and winds storms we have, the heat we can get in the summer, and swinging freeze-thaw cycles that during the winter. This is why every roof we try to install at Super Siders is a roof that qualifies for a Golden Pledge Warranty. To achieve a Golden Pledge Warranty you must first be a Master Elite Contractor certified by the manufacturer GAF. The next step is to have six qualifying GAF accessories installed. The video above will show the six qualifying GAF accessories, and the content below will list the accessory with a brief description on what it does to protect your home.

An open deck inspection allows the crew to determine if the roof deck is in such condition to allow the installation of our asphalt roofing component system. Ensuring we have a proper foundation for the shingles and underlayment is crucial. As even the best underlayments and the best shingles can fail in the roof deck below it fails.
Leak barriers are a very important and necessary portion of a roof replacement. Not only is it required by the Minnesota State Residential Building Code to have a leak barrier installed along you eaves (24" past the interior wall), it is also necessary to be installed in the valleys and up the wall a minimum of 5". At Super Siders we make sure it is also installed around penetrations of the roof, such as a skylight, pipe jack or an exhaust vent. These are areas prone to leaking, and the additional support from the leak barrier should stop any water that happens to get underneath the shingles and roof deck protection.
The high-performance full synthetic GAF TigerPaw® ensures truly ties the GAF components together in a water-proof manner that allows for the ease of installation and the safety of our crews. GAF TigerPaw® is designed to help reduce damaging moisture to roof decks, unlike typical, non-breathable underlayments. If we are not designing the roof in manner to protect the roof deck, we are setting the roof up for failure. As the best products can fail if the surface it is installed to fails.
Installing the GAF ProStart® asphalt starter shingle on the rakes and eaves allows for the highest wind rating and performance of the GAF asphalt roofing component system. This specially design roof component has an adhesive strip to seal down the shingles at the most vulnerable place, the perimeter (eaves and rakes).
The GAF Timberline HDZ lifetime asphalt shingles are the first asphalt shingles to carry an infinite wind rating. When installed with the entire GAF family of asphalt roofing components, you will receive the most extraordinary warranty in our industry: The GAF Golden Pledge Limited-Lifetime Warranty.

It all starts with a warm water bath used to soften the aspen logs and ensure a consistent product. The bark is then removed from the logs and used as a heat source for the manufacturing plant. Throughout the next steps the logs are stranded and the strands are separated by sizes. Strands are dried and tested to ensure quality and consistency. The smart guard process covers the strands with high strength resins, waxes, and zinc borate to ensure a strong bond. The smart-guard treated strands are then specifically oriented/layered for one of the most durable products available on the market! After the protective overlay is applied the material is heated and pressed from 6-8 inches thick down to 3/8. Finally the product is cut to width, primed, and sent for delivery.
